Matylda Dymek

Matylda Dymek was born in Warsaw, Poland, grew up in Scandinavia, was educated in the UK (MA in History of Art at Edinburgh University, and another MA at the London School of Arts) and Poland (film editing at the prestigious National Film School in Lodz).  She began her editing career in London working for the BBC and continued to edit the Polish ER watched by over 2 million viewers weekly.

She was the 2nd editor on the short feature Come to Me, directed by Ewa Banaszkiewicz, which received awards at the Polish ‘Oscars’ in Gdynia and was screened at numerous festivals including Telluride. Matylda is based in Paris where she works as a freelancer for both TV and independent production companies.  She recently worked on an eight part sketch series funded by Orange and the CNC (Centre National du Cinéma et L’Image Animée), on a short for the Random Acts scheme run by Channel 4 (UK) and edited award winning feature My Friend The Polish Girl.
